The Department of Science and Humanities function with the connoisseur of eminent faculties playing a vital role in mending and molding the young minds towards the path of success. The department provides the rudiment to the entire Engineering Departments, it also keeps itself abreast with current developments. The laboratory of Physics and Chemistry are well equipped with modern facilities. The faculty members are empowered with the regular participation of seminars, workshops, conferences and our department has conducted Faculty Empowerment Programme with a joint venture of our college and National Institute of Technical Teacher’s Training Institute Chennai, which enabled the faculties to implement the recent trends of teaching methodology. The students are also motivated to attend seminars and conferences to enrich their knowledge. Video Conferencing methodologies are given to students for effective learning through LAP-TOP.

With the mode of strengthening the physical and mental ability of the students self-defense training is given in karate and yoga by Fox Martial Arts & Sports Academy, Trichy. NSS, LEO CLUB, YRC and RRC are activated to render social works to the society. The department conducts OX-EDUTECH School-Science Exhibition to bring out the students talents and to display innovative projects. In the academic year the department has planned to conduct Symposium to impact practical knowledge.

ETNL Language Lab offers an effectual training to improve the Communication Skills and to find placements where job opportunities have bloomed stupendously. Training is given to excel in their jobs. It helps them to do better in Placement interviews, Group Discussions, Presentation skills, E-mail Communications, Body Language are taught in the Communication Laboratory which is needed as the driving force to meet the latest technical challenges.

Thus an interactive relationship is maintained between the students and faculties which enable the students to develop a sound foundation in the stream in a conducive environment.
