In the academic year 2010, the Post Graduate programme ‘Communication Systems’ was started with an intake of 18.The primary goal of the communication systems engineering master degree is to train students for exciting and successful careers in communication systems. It presents a top-down approach to communication system design. On this course the students will get knowledge about the design and analysis of modern communication technologies, telecommunication, satellite communication and data network systems while building the interdisciplinary skills to meet the current and future needs of commerce and industry. The course is hands-on, with a project component serving as a vehicle for study of different communication techniques, architectures and implementations. At the end of this course, students are able to design and supervise communication systems from point to point communication links to more complex heterogeneous networks.
